Are you a web developer who thrives on tackling complex challenges in the payments space?

For a long-term project with one of our marquee clients (a leading payments company), DNA.inc is looking for a Senior Web Engineer to build high-performance front-end applications. You’ll work closely with client teams — engineers, designers, and product specialists — to strengthen their internal capabilities and deliver scalable, quality-driven platforms.

About the job

In this role, you will collaborate with other engineers to build fast, reliable web applications for one of DNA.inc’s biggest clients. Our teams often work directly within client teams, ensuring close collaboration and shared ownership of product quality and outcomes.

Among other things, we will look to you to:

  • Lead the design and implementation of scalable, high-performance web platforms across multiple teams/projects.

  • Make strategic architecture and technical decisions to ensure long-term maintainability and performance.

  • Mentor and guide engineers, fostering technical growth and best practices.

  • Drive adoption of modern web technologies and frameworks across client projects.

  • Influence product strategy and client outcomes through technical insight.

  • Ensure operational excellence, code quality, and consistency across complex codebases.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex engineering challenges.

Job requirements

About you

To be considered a candidate for this role, we expect you to:

  • 10+ years of experience building and leading complex web applications at scale.

  • Expert in React, TypeScript, Node.js, and modern front-end ecosystems.

  • Strong systems-level thinking and experience with enterprise-scale architecture.

  • Proven track record of mentoring engineers and shaping engineering culture.

  • Comfortable making high-level technical decisions and influencing product strategy.

  • Skilled in cross-team collaboration and client-facing technical leadership.

  • Passionate about adopting new technologies, improving processes, and delivering high-impact solutions.

  • Ideally based in or around New York City. Although this role is primarily a remote or hybrid position, periodic on-site presence with our client will be expected
