People & Culture Lead

    • Amsterdam

Job description

About DNA.inc

At DNA, we build digital products that people love to use, especially in industries like streaming, media, and automotive. From Disney+ to SiriusXM, our teams have helped launch platforms used by millions worldwide.

We don’t just build for our clients, we build with them. Our people work directly alongside our clients’ teams, embedded in their day-to-day, sharing knowledge, and helping them grow stronger from within.

We’re a European company with a remote-first mindset and a shared set of values that guide how we work:

  • Curious minds that keep learning.

  • Positive energy in everything we do.

  • Ambitious goals, approached with respect and openness.

  • And a passionate, committed team that shows up for each other.

We believe growth happens when people are trusted, supported, and challenged. Whether you're building software or shaping our culture, you’ll find space to grow, personally and professionally.

About the Role

As People & Culture Lead, you’ll help shape how we support and grow our team, across countries, cultures, and disciplines. You’ll step into a role that combines strategic impact with day-to-day connection.

Our team counts 90+ people, spread across 13 countries, and we’re growing into new regions. As we expand, you’ll play a key role in aligning people practices across countries, while also setting up HR operations and payroll in new locations where needed.

The foundations are in place, solid people processes, a growth and salary framework, and tools like an HRIS, ATS, and Notion for onboarding and our employee handbook. Now it’s time to bring consistency, clarity, and connection as we scale.

You’ll report to our Chief of Staff, Semir, and work closely with our founders, leadership team, and Michaela, our Office Manager in Amsterdam, who already supports many operational HR tasks. Together, you’ll strengthen and scale our people practices across borders.

While there’s support for execution, this role blends strategy and hands-on work. You’re comfortable switching between the big picture and practical details when needed.

We keep things remote-first, but we’re big fans of connecting in person whenever we can. For this role, we’d love to see you at our Amsterdam office on a regular basis.

What You’ll Do

People Operations & HR Foundations

  • Manage and improve processes like onboarding, contracts, and benefits across our international team.

  • Support HR setup and payroll onboarding in new countries as our team expands internationally.

  • Ensure compliance with local employment law and standards (incl. ISO9001/27001).

  • Collaborate with local partners and our Office Manager to keep operations smooth and consistent.

Growth & Development

  • Support our talent roadmap as we scale with a focus on hybrid and remote-first ways of working.

  • Keep our growth and performance frameworks alive and relevant by working closely with team leads.

  • Organize learning moments, development opportunities, and mentorship programs that help our people thrive.

Culture, Engagement & Hiring

  • Strengthen our inclusive, people-first culture across teams and time zones.

  • Run initiatives that boost engagement, psychological safety, and team connection, remote and in person.

  • Partner with hiring managers to deliver a great candidate experience and grow our employer brand.

Job requirements

What You Bring

  • ~5 years of HR/People Ops experience in a dynamic, international, or creative/tech environment.

  • Track record of delivering and improving people initiatives across recruitment, onboarding, L&D, and culture.

  • Familiarity with remote/hybrid team structures and European employment practices.

  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.

  • Comfortable collaborating across teams, time zones, and cultural contexts.

  • Experience with HR operations in the Netherlands.

  • Fluent in English (written and verbal); Dutch is a bonus.

What We Offer

  • Part-time (32 hours/week) with flexible hours and location.

  • Competitive compensation based on your experience.

  • A flexible work culture with physical hubs in Amsterdam, Madrid, and Valencia.

  • Learning budget and development opportunities.

  • Company offsites across Europe and support for in-person meetups

  • Enrollment in our generous pension plan (worth ±15% of salary)
