We are seeking a Lead Product Designer with 10+ years of professional experience designing well-crafted experiences for large audiences. We’re remote-first (Europe), with hybrid options in Amsterdam, Madrid and Valencia.

About the role

You will join and collaborate with a team of 2 to 8 designers at one of DNA.inc’s clients, playing a crucial role in shaping how people experience their products and services. You’ll serve as a trusted advisor to our client’s key stakeholders to understand their priorities, drive their long-term vision, and launch strategic initiatives across mobile, web, TV, and in the car. You’ll also lead and mentor a small team of designers to foster their professional growth.


This is a remote or hybrid position, which could be anywhere in Europe. We have locations in Amsterdam (HQ), Madrid, and Valencia, with more hubs to come in the future. Even if you’re fully remote, you are encouraged to hang out in our clubhouse in central Amsterdam occasionally or meet up with the team at a conference, meetup, or other event.


What you'll do

As a Lead Product Designer at DNA.inc, you work closely with other design, product, and engineering stakeholders, to deliver high-quality solutions throughout the product development lifecycle. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Partner with the client's key stakeholders and be their point of contact
  • Shape and evolve an iterative and collaborative design process
  • Immerse in research, strategy, audience, and domain
  • Facilitate workshops, brainstorms, and group discussions to ensure buy-in
  • Ensure goals, requirements, resources, and scope are crystal clear
  • Identify key journeys and priorities, constraints, and opportunities
  • Shape and evolve the design direction, and ensure all stakeholders embrace it
  • Lead by example, setting the standard for design excellence
  • Ensure solutions are validated and iterated throughout the process
  • Ensure high-quality deliverables from inception to launch
  • Improve the team’s work by continuously incorporating feedback
  • Mentor more junior designers to foster their professional growth
  • Help shape and evolve DNA.inc’s design practice

Job requirements


Our ideal candidate has:

  • Proven track record of hands-on product design experience in the B2C domain, across both web and mobile platforms.
  • Proven track record leading a small team of designers and managing client stakeholders independently.
  • Experience designing for other platforms is a plus (e.g., Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Smart TV, set-top boxes, game consoles).
  • A customer-centric approach to complex problem-solving.
  • Strong ability to articulate design decisions with an iterative mentality.
  • Experience with motion and/or 3D design is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Clear, empathetic writing, and verbal communication skills.
